Ingrid (Lina) Svensdotter was born in Ilsbo parish, Gävleborg län, Sweden, on 17 May 1847, the daughter of tenant farmer Sven Svensson(b. 1820) and Kerstin Nilsdotter (b. 1816).
Lina emigrated to North America in 1868. At the time of the 1875 Minnesota Census, she was living with her parents in Cambridge, Isanti County, Minnesota.
Lina married Jonas Lundberg in Cambridge on 13 April 1876, with Pastor A. Engdahl officiating.
